Christoph is an experienced finance executive. He oversees all financial, regulatory, compliance and legal matters of the company and its funds. He is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant and has a diploma in pension fund management. He joined MTIP at the establishment of MTIP Fund II. Prior to this, he worked at Abelia AG, where he led audits, particularly for pension funds.
Previously, he spent 12 years at KPMG in Basel, where he last served as Senior Audit Manager. In this role, he supported a variety of clients, including pension funds, non-profit organizations, and institutions in the health sector. He began his career as Controller at Swisscom in Bern.
Christoph graduated in 2005 from the University of Basel, majoring in finance, controlling and banking.
What inspires you about your job?
As CFO, I oversee all financial, compliance and legal matters pertaining to MTIP and the MTIP funds. This requires that I deal with a wide range of requirements and handle all sorts of demands every day, which is both challenging and enriching. Mostly, I enjoy being a part of a growing company and working together closely with my inspiring team!
What motivates you?
Before I joined MTIP, I worked as audit manager and provided assurance services to different companies and organizations. Although I was happy to have had the opportunity to work in such a demanding and satisfying environment, I am excited and privileged to be at a firm that enables innovative companies to grow and achieve a higher level of success.
What was your dream job when you were young?
As a child, my dream was to become a pilot. I was fascinated by the idea of safely flying an airplane from continent to continent and being responsible for all the different colored control buttons. Today, I am responsible for the control function at MTIP and have become a private pilot as a hobby – almost there!
