Before joining MTIP, Tim helped build, scale and exit a technology start-up in Berlin in his capacity as Chief of Staff. Prior to that he was working at Houlihan Lokey’s M&A team in London, focussing on technology, SaaS, and subscription data businesses within the range of sectors including pharma, education and data & analytics. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Tim started his career in investment banking with an internship at Lazard in Frankfurt.
Tim holds a BSc in Business Economics from Maastricht University, spent a semester abroad at Singapore Management University and earned his MSc in Financial Analysis from London Business School. Tim is also a certified Field Guide of Southern Africa.
What motivates you?
I am driven by challenge, curiosity and impact. Naturally, I gravitate towards questioning established norms and re-evaluating the status quo. Learning new things excites me and when reflecting on my work, I hope it has a meaningful impact.
How would you describe your job to a five-year old?
We support companies and people to help them make products so people can live a longer healthier life.
What is your passion outside of work?
All kinds of sports and outdoor activities! Whether it’s skiing or hiking in the mountains, windsurfing or kiting on the water, running, cycling or playing any kind of ball games on the ground. I love a great competition and am always up for a new challenge!
