Christoph is an experienced healthcare investor, entrepreneur, and strategic leader. After founding MTIP, he built the company to where it stands today and is actively involved in the deal execution and portfolio management. Previously he led Syngenta’s global strategy department for several years. Prior to that, Christoph was Managing Director at Hafiba AG, a boutique investment firm, where he remains a member of its board of directors.
He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in private equity and life sciences. Christoph studied mechanical engineering at Technical University of Munich and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned a PhD in innovation & technology management from the University of St. Gallen and Harvard Business School.
What is your advice for founders?
Believe in yourself and your idea! Nevertheless, critically reflect on the feedback you get and be open to change your path. Sometimes a small change in direction can have a big impact.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like the diversity and challenges my daily work requires - to work hard and achieve goals that seem to be impossible at the beginning. This can only be reached with our smart and dedicated team that is passionate about what we do!
